Website Design Concept - Global Cities
The superimposed silhouettes of global cities signifies interconnectedness. The nine cities are distributed across all seven continents, and have diverse functions (for example, Tokyo is ranked as an Alpha+ global city while Rio de Janiero is Beta- rank). Refreshing the top page causes two new silhouettes to overlay the blue Tokyo silhouette.
The concept also highlights Sophia University’s location in the center of Tokyo. The world’s most populous global city provides boundless topics for classroom discussions, sites for field trips, sources of research materials, internships and employment, and arenas for play outside the classroom.
